The Program Manager, Compliance / Anti-Corruption will serve a critical role in supporting the Director, Anti-Corruption and the Ethics and Compliance team in delivering a comprehensive global Anti-Corruption compliance program.    With a mission to help Western Digital operate smoothly, quickly, and lawfully by ensuring it does business the right way, every day, the Anti-Corruption Compliance team is an integral part of Western Digital’s global Ethics and Compliance team.



In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Director, Compliance / Anti-Corruption with managing the anti-corruption ongoing monitoring and oversight program.  This will include helping to develop and maintain internal compliance tools to proactively identify high-risk transactions, managing a third party due diligence program, and managing the employee compliance disclosure process. The work will cover all functions and all business units throughout the world, although minimal travel will be required.  Coordination with IT, Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Sales, Procurement, and Management at all levels will be critical for this role.  This position is located in Irvine, California.


Specific duties include:

  • Developing metrics and tools to help analyze anti-corruption data to determine trends and areas of compliance risk

  • Using judgment and investigatory skills to pursue and uncover key compliance risks

  • Conducting due diligence research and continuously monitoring red flags on high-risk third parties

  • Monitoring, reviewing, and responding to employees' compliance disclosures

  • Creating and maintaining consolidated reports on compliance disclosures and due diligence

  • Working cross-functionally to evaluate and recommend changes and solutions to improve policies, procedures, and internal controls based on risk assessments or other root causes of misconduct

  • Serving as a company-wide resource on issues relating to bribery, corruption, business courtesies, sponsorships, donations, and conflicts of interest

  • Collaborating with the team on continuous improvement of the program

  • Overall Ethics and Compliance team support including training, due diligence, and other tasks, as needed

  • Working with the Director, Anti-Corruption to develop and implement new policies, processes, and guidelines for the global company

  • All other duties as assigned



  • 5+ years of experience working in an anti-corruption, ethics and compliance, or company research field

  • Experience conducting due diligence, analyzing fraud, and/or implementing anti-corruption best practices

  • Experience working inside a global company is preferred, but not required

  • Excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated team player

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and a demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration

  • Integrity, professionalism, and a keen understanding of the sensitivity and confidentiality of the work is a must 

  • Professional presence, excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, and experience delivering crisp, clear presentations to management

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and manage multiple projects simultaneously, focus on critical priorities and apply appropriate judgment in escalating competing priorities and substantive issues for guidance

  • Strong work ethic and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment and sensitivity to and an understanding of cultural differences around the globe
