HDD Inventory & DCS Cost Analyst

HDD Inventory
  • Analyzing and reporting of HDD related inventory actuals/forecast
  • Coordinating and overseeing inventory accounts reconciliation, managing inventory reserves and vendor liabilities related processes
  • Ensuring accurate accounting close activities with sufficient documentation for audit support
  • Working closely with cost accountants in each of our HDD manufacturing sites
  • Serving as the representative from Manufacturing Operations Finance to join review meeting with the inventory and material management teams
DCS Cost Analyst
  • Analyzing and reporting of hardware product cost actuals/forecast for our DCS BU (dynamic, ramping business unit)
  • Working cross functionally with various teams in DCS BU (including BU Finance, Cost Accountants, Procurement, Operations, Program managers, and Sales/Marketing teams) to provide accurate and timely DCS product cost analysis
  • Analyzing product cost changes and trends for General Procurement management
  • Managing cost closing processes
  • HDD inventory forecast analysis and reporting, HDD actual inventory flux analysis
  • HDD inventory reserve and vendor liabilities processes, consolidation and analysis
  • Inventory accounts reconciliation
  • Fulfill SOX controls and audit requirements
  • Manage DCS product cost processes and schedule
  • Communicate DCS products unit cost/COGS and analyze cost performance metrics
  • Manage DCS cost close, reconcile DCS cost model output to actual ledger cost
  • Ad hoc analysis, as required
  • 8-10 years of FP&A and/or Accounting experience; inventory and manufacturing cost experience considered a plus
  • Fast and eager learner
  • Good analytic, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proven record of cross-functional teamwork
  • Details oriented but also a big picture thinker
  • Must be very organized and thorough
  • Experience with complex financial models
  • Strong Excel background
  • Familiar with SAP / Oracle R12
