-Narrative Job Description:  
The Cost Accounting Analyst is responsible to provide accurate financial cost accounting and inventory report to assist management in business decision making. He should ensure validity of inventories on hand and accurate costing of inventories. He should also drive improvement in cost accounting process.  The position will report to the Finance Manager.
This position will handle a US-based entity through a shared service set-up.  The shared service office is located in Binan, Laguna. 
Review and approve new items (SKUs)
Review and update inventory cost
Ensure accurate costing of inventories and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Analyze inventory movement and record adjustments, as needed
Work with Operations team to resolve issues related to inventory transactions
Review valuation of inventories and recommend inventory reserve
Perform annual inventory count, and analyze physical count result
Monitor, analyze and perform reconciliation on Inventory and Cost related accounts
Perform deferred rebate analysis
Perform deferral of  COGS recognition
Review and approve inventory purchase request
Review monthly financial results specifically on Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Analyze gross margin by product and customer  


Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
Minimum of 3-5 year of relevant cost accounting experience in a shared services or other relevant industry  
Strong technical expertise on cost accounting
Knowledgeable on US Generally Accepted Accounting Principle 
Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of constituencies, including the Operations team and the Sales Operations team
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Ability to assess materiality and prioritize workload
Ability to adapt to changing business requirements
Strong work ethic, good judgment, initiative, well organized and attention to detail

Certified Public Accountant
Familiarity in others facets of finance including Revenue, General Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis
Capability to manage workload distribution across different geographies and different time zones
Ability to work well with multiple teams and different cultures 

Good written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English 
Good financial and analytical skill
Intermediate  Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency
Intermediate SAP, Oracle or Netsuite System proficiency
