Install and maintain servers including CPUs, RAM, and other hardware devices. Install switches, NICs, and other network hardware. Install and maintain server operating systems including resolving hardware and software problems. Monitor server performance and Data Center resources (power, cooling, rack space.)Respond to and resolve support requests. Maintain detailed support logs and documentation. Assist in configuring Proof of Concept environments. Maintain Data Center inventory. General housekeeping to maintain a tidy environment. Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities as required: Assist in testing for Microsoft Fast Tracks (FTRA) and other ISV application certifications and reference architectures. Be willing to work overtime as needed for high priority projects, including evenings and weekends.
Basic Qualifications: Assoc. Degree in IT,IS, CS, MIS or 1-3 yrs equiv. enterprise datacenter experience. Ability to work without close supervision. Ability to work in a team environment. Experience with installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with basic network and software troubleshooting. Ability to learn new technology quickly. Excellent time management, written, and verbal skills. Experience with installing and troubleshooting computer hardware.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications: with A+, MSFT MCA, Cisco CCT, CCENTSCRUM related training and/or certifications
