The role entails the guidance and management of several product marketing managers to ensure that Western Digital products are well differentiated in the marketplace. The Sr. Director is also expected to partner with other leaders across the company, and contribute to the formulations of cross-business unit go-to-market strategies.
Successful candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of the storage system market dynamics, the competition, and enterprise customer needs. As a key spokesperson for a product portfolio, the Sr. Director must demonstrate leadership, negotiation, and presentations skills along with the ability to communicate at the executive level with customers, key industry analysts, and press.
- BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in product marketing management roles, ideally in storage systems
- 5+ years analyzing products, customers and market dynamics
