ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate should have a proven track record of interacting with Customers, Sales and being the market expert for his/her products.  Experience in product positioning, conducting detailed market analysis, go to market planning, market requirements definition, and development product collateral is of critical importance.The position responsibility includes obtaining initial contacts, establishing relationships, mapping organizational structures, interaction with decision makers on all levels from engineer to general manager. These accounts comprise both local semiconductor vendors and representatives of international ones in APAC. This individual is expected to ensure Western Digital’s products are the preferred choice among most relevant semiconductor solutions, keep a detailed and updated picture of trends and dynamics in the mobile handset industry in APAC and drive the adoption of Western Digital’s innovations. This individual will formulate the strategy for enlarging Western Digital’s embedded storage solutions among OEMs in APAC, particularly in China. In this important role, the responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):Product and Sales Support: Develop go to market plans for major market segments and work in concert with the sales organization to facilitate market penetration, major account penetration and distribution sales to realize revenue and margin targets. Develop sales collateral, training materials, and presentations for customer and industry related activities.Act as advisor to the sales and be the key resource in interacting with engineering, product management, and marketing groups within Western Digital. Forecast production mix.  Recommend pricing strategies by evaluating market conditions and sales channel inputs. Coordination within Organization to ensure product needs are intact and launched on time. Coordinate engineering and production resources and support field sales and applications to complete design wins. Drive and improve business processes to provide advanced visibility to custom product development and delivery schedule. Actively participate in the product roadmap process, understand and communicate the impact on customers of scheduled new product, feature and enhancement releases. Competitive Analysis & Trends Conduct on-going analysis of the competitive landscape including pricing, product offering, market segmentation. Inform sales channels of competitive movements. Create and publish competitive alerts, briefs, and analysis on competing vendor’s product offerings. Ideally experience within a handset and tablet maker or wireless processor vendor.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BD, outbound marketing or sales in Semiconductor or Mobile & Tablet industry Independent.  Able to work remotely in a loosely defined environmentWillingness to travel (30%) and ability to travel to all relevant cities in the region.QUALIFICATIONS

 

REQUIRED:

Ideally Chinese national with significant work experience internationally or expat with at least 2 years residence in the region.Fluent English. Mandarin is must.Education: Combination of MBA & technological degreeGood knowledge of the mobile handset industry food chain. Ideally experience within a handset and tablet maker or wireless processor vendor.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BD, outbound marketing or sales in Semiconductor or Mobile & Tablet industry Excellent communication and presentation skillsVery independent, Self Starter, results driven. Able to work remotely in a loosely defined environmentAnalytical and insightful – can identify strategic trends, while being able to dive into the technical details.Willingness to travel (30%) and ability to travel to all relevant cities in the region.
