In this position, the Staff System Test/Reliability Engineer will design, execute and code tests for RDT and other reliability related tests for Client SSD products. Advise design engineering on selection, application and test of SSD. Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Determine requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer requirements. Develop new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes and product reliability. Make recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems. May propose changes in design of formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. The candidate will have skills in software (C, C++, C#) including Object-Oriented Programming and an understanding of GUI development. In addition, the candidate will have skills in embedded firmware coding including ground up development and existing code modification. SSD based FW validation process related experience with the JIRA based bug reporting tool knowledge is preferred. NAND management knowledge is a preferred. With this, the appropriate firmware debug skills are required including JTAG, protocol and logic analysis of system inputs and outputs. Knowledge of hardware design and validation is also highly preferred. Database development and operation knowledge is a plus. Moreover, the candidate will have an experience of product quality control assessment and risk assessment skills. The ideal candidate will have BS/BA degree or equivalent with 7 or more years or related experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
