The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the HR system associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information. Maintains internal database files and tables and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of HR and the business. This role will have a heavy project management focus and serve as a strategic consultant to the business. Works with Human Resources personnel to evaluate HRIS software and hardware needs and may design new or modify existing HRIS to meet changing demands. May serve as HR department liaison to the IT function.



Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for project management and serve as a consultant on requests for enhancements and new configurations

  • Configuration of eligibility rules, calculated fields, company, locations, worker types, reason codes, custom organizations and business processes

  • Work directly with other system team members on enhancements and new configurations by both guiding and reviewing the work and also by doing configurations

  • Collaborate with the global systems team and IT teams to ensure system usage consistency

  • Write policy and procedure documentation and partner closely with change management personnel

  • Collaborate with the systems and IT teams to review formal change requests

  • Work closely with the HR PMO resources to ensure an accurate project roadmap and prioritization of work

  • Serve as a functional expert within the team that can advise on all aspects of Workday: HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance, Payroll

  • Stay informed of current international data and system requirements and ensure compliance

  • Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation and escalation management

  • Train and educate end-users


Education, Certifications, and/or Licenses and Experience (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3 to 5 years of international and domestic experience ideally in the technology sector

  • 5-7+ years of direct Workday HCM experience

  • Experience working with global HR data

Degree of Supervision:

  • Works under general direction and supervision.

  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

  • Some work involves resolving escalated situations or negotiating difficult situations with employees and the business

  • Strong knowledge of Workday 29

  • Can write custom reports including BIRT

  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Write reports and business correspondence using excellent grammar, correct punctuation and spelling, cohesive structure, concise wording and appropriate tone.

  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with others who may have ongoing competing priorities and viewpoints, including company employees in other countries

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • This is primarily an office environment with moderate to medium noise levels. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, and to operate standard office equipment. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve file information and lifts and carries boxes that typically weigh less than 10 pounds. Spend two-thirds or more time sitting, talking or hearing; have close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). This position may require some travel.
