Analyst 3, Credit

The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Credit and Collections for APAC, and is based at Shanghai, China, and requires a dynamic, self motivated individual with high integrity and ethics and with prior regional Credit and Collections experience at a large multi-national Company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer aging of assigned accounts base, to include collections and reconciliation of past due balances. Review and release of orders on credit hold
  • Strive to meet and /or exceed financial metrics including aging of Invoices and Deductions (Current Balances, >30 >60, >90) and credit limit reviews up-to-date status
  • Manage Company credit exposure to assigned accounts base to minimize bad debt. Analyze customer financials, D&B, references, etc., provides analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial status for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper credit limits
  • Drive high-quality execution against plans and operational commitments
  • Build strong Customer relationships to ensure world-class Customer interfaces and win/win outcomes are achieved
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders such as A/R, Logistics, Sales, Sales Ops to enable world-class processes and performance
  • Some travel may be required
Key Requirements
  • 5-10 years of Credit and Collections work experience with progressive responsibilities in a multi-national organization
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Must be fluent (verbal and written) in English
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision; details oriented, reliable and dependable
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a very fast paced environment and to prioritize and manage multiple projects with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships and trust with a broad range of individuals across functions, up to the management level
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with Customers to assert Company’s policies, processes and practices
  • Experience with Retail (Distribution, Direct Retail) and OEM sales channels in the APAC region; familiarity with retail sales programs, specifically: price protection, rebates, co-op advertising and MDF.
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and accounting systems.  QAD and SAP experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Degree in Business or Finance/Accounting/Economics or similar is required (BA/BS); MBA or equivalent a plus
