Group Description
  • Client Solutions organization in Milpitas, CA
  • The group works with product managers and our mechanical engineer team globally to create our new products.
  • This team is responsible for the look, feel, and experience of new retail products.
  • Our design studio needs a new hire who has great sense of current trends to support the team in all areas of industrial design including: research, ideation/sketching, brainstorming, 3D rendering, presentation preparation, product graphics support, User Interface Design Support, and graphics design. They would team up with our Senior Industrial Designers in a fast-paced environment, where they would see their work come to life.
  • The new hire can expect to:
    • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Marketing and Project Management teams.
    • Support new product designs brainstorming sessions and action planning.
    • Create CAD Modeling Designs, prototyping, rendering and related documentation for new product development projects.
    • Conduct quality inspection reviews on design outputs, drawings, models, and documentation for individual contributions and when appropriate peer reviews.
    • Voice creative ideas to the team and support problem solving discussions.
    • Participate in post-mortem debriefs of projects to identify opportunities for future improvements.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Design or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience working in fast paced design environment
  • Experience in consumer products preferred
  • Experience taking concepts from design to mass production is a bonus
  • Proficiency in:
    • 2d: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    • 3d: Autodesk Alias design, or Solidworks preferred
    • Rendering: Keyshot is preferred
    • Sketching: Needing to be able to properly express ideas visually with a quick sketch
  • Sample portfolio in addition to resume required
