Principal Engineer, Test Engineering

We’re looking for a dynamic Principal Engineer, R&D Engineering with a passion to innovate and help shape the future of data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The manager is responsible for hiring, training and development of the Development Product Engineering team. Develop business processes to ensure effective introduction of new SSD products through LVM. Measure performance by developing appropriate metrics. Manage resouces to ensure comitments are met and maintain the Development PE team budget. Drive production acceptance including build, validation and test. Ensure yields are exceeding target for each product lifecycle stage prior to releasing product to mass production. Develop and execute First Article test and delivery plans. Drive the team for Level 3 issue resolution. Review of hardware ECO process through LVM lifecycle. Drive DfX into design process and work with factory for manufacturing process improvement. Review NAND flash & ASIC test coverage at component level to ensure corner cases parts are validated at product level.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master or Bachelor degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, computer engineering or equivalent.
REQUIRED SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE
Influence design for manufacturability, design for production testability, design for reliability / durability, design for failure analysis
Component derating analysis, including circuit analysis
FA procedures and processes including 8D Corrective Analysis
Realization of NPI targets such as TT-Production Volume Ramp Up
Perform test plan reviews, correlation analysis of products, production capability analysis, systems level failure analysis
Escalate design, production and test issues to key partners where appropriate
Qualify, Validate, Verify BOM integrity and deviation
Perform hardware/software (firmware) debugging and resolve test rejects and other system related failures
Coordinate and drive for product issue resolution and engineering evaluation
DESIRED SKILLED and/or EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of SSD or with background of HDD would be desirable
Strong Knowledge of Flash Memory
Knowledge of product engineering, product assurance and NPI
Six Sigma, C/C++ or Python Programming, FMEA
Hardware and Software debugging skills
Familiar with components like DRAM, ASIC controller and voltage regulator
Knowledge in hard drive protocols like SAS, SATA and PCIe is a plus
Able to understand schematic and PCB layout
