DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and maintain
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policy, programs and procedures in
compliance with HGST/WD, applicable laws
and regulatory, and other requirements.
- Provide guidance and technical
support to all levels regarding EHS related issues.
- Liaise with HGST/WD Corporate
Environmental Health & Safety, other sites EHS function and external
parties to enhance continual improvement of Environmental Health and Safety
- Perform EHS inspection to
identify potential risks, determine corrective and preventive measures and
follow up to ensure the actions are effectively implemented.
- Ensure that investigation of
work-related accidents or environmental incidents analyzing and providing
appropriate report to management including action plans and prevention of
- Plan and manage the budget
involved EHS Promote and enhance safety awareness and OH&S activities
- Ensure appropriate EHS training
program providing for employees, on-site contractors or related parties.
- Develop organization and
- Accountable for department
results and for the impact of results to functional activities.
- Perform related and other duties
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety related field.
Safety Organization Leadership (Chief of Safety Department as required by
3-5 years' experience in managing EHS organization.
Safety Officer Professional Level
English communication skills (written/verbal)
