  • To support the EMEAi sales and marketing organisations of a market leading public traded California HQ tech company
  • Business facing and embedded role (must be interested in and seek to understand the business)
  • To join team of 3 EMEAi commercial lawyers who report into US/worldwide legal team of approx. 100 lawyers
  • Negotiating:
    • Retailer agreements (Direct/Indirect) iEMEA
    • Distribution agreements
    • ROEM agreements (MPAs, LTAs & VMIs)
    • Pricing Programs and annual commercial agreements (MDF, Volume Rebates, etc.)
    • Marketing agreements (e.g. contracts for trade fairs, merchandiser/promoter contracts, services agreements, translation services agreements)
    • NDAs
  •  Advising on:
    • Resale Price Maintenance; Authorized Distribution Policies, Antitrust
    • Gray Market/Unauthorized Sales
    • Warranty issues
    • Service Ops/RMA Support issues (e.g. fraudulent RMA transactions and police engagement)
  • Providing legal support on:
    • Disputes/Settlement Agreements (e.g. customer disputes, Field Failures, event cancellations)
    • Account/Customer/Credit Management (e.g. customer acquisitions/group re-orgs)
    • Service provider contracts (e.g. tax advisors, consultants)
    • Ad hoc company secretarial support for the region’s subsidiaries (e.g. board minutes, change of registered office, POAs)
    • General Legal Questions
  •  Other:
    • Triaging of EMEAi legal issues and coordinating with US based subject matter experts
    • Providing local assistance to US legal team if issue involves EMEAi
    • Providing regular legal training to the EMEAi teams
    • Attending and presenting at regional leadership QBRs


  • Junior commercial lawyer 1-3 PQE
  • Role to be London based but with travel opportunities (principally Germany, Paris, Prague, California and Surrey)
  • International experience with a highly regarded top tier London law firm essential
  • Experience of working with sales/retail/distribution/technology an advantage
  • Previous in- house experience (including secondments) an advantage
  • Language skills an advantage, particularly German or Russian
  • Confident self-starter with own initiative
  • Team player
